Seattle Network Elevated latency to China

We're currently seeing significantly elevated latency and some packet loss to China from our Seattle network when routing outbound via AS4837. This is caused by a fiber cut in China Unicom's network in San Jose, this should be resolved soon.

Our CMIN2 network is unaffected apart from a small latency increase.

  • This was partially resolved as of 06:26 UTC, lately will still be elevated by 20ms but should decrease shortly.

VPS Control Panel VPS control panel offline

Our VPS control panel is currently offline, we're awaiting an update from a third party hosting provider, they're affected by the Cnservers downtime.

VPS can be managed via https://billing.spartanhost.net in the meantime.

  • VPS control panel came back online earlier today.

    Investigating Seattle partial outage

  • All traffic has now been shifted back to Cnservers. Please contact us if you would like an in-depth explanation.

  • We've identified an issue with Cnservers and BGP announcements, it seems this was unique in that our network didn't automatically failover when they went down and manual intervention was required. We're awaiting an update from Cnservers.
