SEABKVM5 Seattle IGW1.13.3 power disruption

One of the two PDUs in the Seattle cabinet IGW1.13.3 has gone offline, this will mean some dedicated servers are offline (if your dedicated server ID starts with IGW1.13.3) and VPS server SEABKVM5.

We're getting the PDU checked currently.

  • The equipment that went offline is currently powered by a temporary PDU so things were online quicker, we will schedule a maintenance window in the coming days to swap back to the permanent PDU.

  • Everything is now back online, as of 05:20 UTC, at least temporarily. We're awaiting further updates from the data centre.

  • The data centre has informed us that they're working on getting temporary power to the affected PDU so hopefully the downtime will not be the full time mentioned.

  • We received an update from the data centre that the power outlet on their side has failed and they need to re-run a new cable to a new outlet. This process will unfortunately take 2 - 3 hours but they are expediting it as much as possible.

    Dallas Network Dallas network instability

Our Dallas Path.net DDoS protected IPs are currently seeing intermittent high packet loss and very short outages. We're already in contact with Path about this and hope it's resolved shortly.

  • We have now remove Path.net from our network. Path has not shown any willingness to work with us to resolve major issues on their end therefore we have decided to permanently switch to CosmicGuard. We do not currently have a customer control panel developed due to the quick switch to CosmicGuard, it is being worked on and will be released soon. If you need rules/filters created in the meantime, please contact us via support ticket.

  • We have moved our IP prefixes to CosmicGuard ddos protection until Path.net resolves their issues. If you require any specific filters made for CosmicGuard, let us know, as we do not currently have a customer control panel available for this yet.

    Seattle Network Seattle downtime

Our Seattle ddos protected network saw 2 minutes downtime starting 10:08 UTC and ending 10:10 UTC due to Cnservers' Portland POP going offine. We've informed them about the outage and are hoping for a future resolution.

  • The maintenance has now been completed, we hope this will be the end of future downtimes.

  • Hardware replacement will occur today between 12 - 2pm PST, 10 - 15 minutes of reduced China network performance will be seen then.

  • This issue occurred again from 07:36 UTC on 14th March. We have been informed to expect hardware replacement to fix this issue, within a few days.

    SEABKVM22 SEABKVM22 downtime

Seattle E5 VPS server SEABKVM22 saw downtime from 01:54 to 01:59 UTC due to a bug in our backup system causing a kernel panic, we're investigating to resolve this for the future.
