Seattle Network Seattle China AS4837 fault

We can currently see that there is a fault with the whole China AS4837 line with at least 10% widespread packet loss. We will monitor this for a short period and temporarily switch the line to AS4134 if required.

  • AS4837 is now stable again and has been reactivated.

  • Routing to China has now been moved to AS4134 + China Mobile International and there is no longer any packet loss. We'll monitor AS4837 and switch back when it has become stable again.

    Seattle 200Gb/s packet loss

  • The packet loss stopped at 17:30 UTC and returned to normal shortly after. The cause was fiber cuts causing congestion on a transport network used for the 200Gb/s IPs.
